Talk about
stumbling into something...I was at a tech company talking about buying
VOIP, one day. I overheard them talking about getting some one to do
some audio work. I informed them that I did audio work and if they
needed something, give me a call. Well a couple of days later I got a
phone call..."Our video guy is in jail and our customer is coming
tonight. Do you know anything about video?" I told them it couldn't be
too hard, so I agreed to meet with the customer. Well, I did some OJT
and got into it pretty steady. I ended up being one of the video
editors for a hunting show called "One Shot Challenge." That led me to
buy a prosumer model video camera and begin videography.
I did two
seasons of that show. Then, I picked up editing another show called
"Classic Hunts with Lee Hawes." I'm in my second season of that. It's
on The Sportsman Channel.
Then, one
day, Mike Avery from Jay's Outdoor Magazine contacted me. I had pitched him
in the fall of 2006, to see if he needed some editing or camera work
done. He was following back up with me. Well, low and behold, with the
help of some other cameramen in the area, we are now working with Mike
Avery, traveling, so far, the United States filming.
